Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eyeshadow Pallet

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eyeshadow Pallet
$42.00 Sold out at Estee Lauder

Back when I was younger I had a bad reaction to Clinique and Estee Lauder products. Since then I haven't touched their products! Big mistake that I have learned is that just because you had a bad reaction to one product in a makeup line doesn't mean you are going to have that same reaction to all of their products. So I broke down and purchased the Bronze Goddess Eyeshadow Pallet by Estee Lauder from their 2011 summer collection. Best decision I have made! No bad reaction, so far and I have worn this beautiful pallet several times already!

Moral of the story, don't be scared of a product line because their makeup remover made you breakout, because their eye shadow might just look great on you with no bad reactions! Just make sure if you do have allergies to certain ingredients check the label!

This pallet is AMAZING! it comes with six colors that all work together brilliantly! The quality varies on the colors. I have found that the Silver White Metallic Champagne color on the far right is hard to work with. It is chunky and pressed in there very well and doesn't give much color payoff unless its wet and even then its hard to get it to shine. The Bronze Rose with Gold Shimmer has a really nice texture and good color payoff. The Pinky Peach Gold almost Metallic color is so pretty, great color payoff and super easy to work with. Probably my favorite out of all of the colors. The Teal has an ever-so-slight silver shimmer too it but is mainly a matte color. Great payoff wet, and works well with blending into the other colors dry. The Bright True Gold  has a metallic shine to it and gives a great color payoff and easy to use. The last color the Dark Mossy Green with Silver Shimmer is a great color for the crease. It builds well and can get very deep, so pay off is good, and it blends well.

All of these colors work fabulously together. I would have to say this is a great pallet to carry around with you and you really need no other if your tight on space.  You can create a light going to the beach look or a super smokey eye for night. This pallet is an all-around great buy.

I wish I had done swatches but have been so busy lately with other life obligations. I at least have a picture with using all the colors! =)

Have a Bronzed Goddess day to all my beauties!

MAC ~ Dollymix Blush

MAC Blush ~ Dollymix
$18.50 net wt. 0.21 oz

Dollymix finish is a sheertone shimmer. MAC calls the color a pure candy pink. I would agree. Dollymix is a sheer buildable blue based pink. The packaging is MAC's standard black case with a clear top. I find the clear top helpful when trying to find a color and not having to open up every case is a sure plus! Dolly mix has a slight shimmer to it that makes it reflect light just enough to make you skin look like it is glowing. You can build it up to have super pink cheeks like you just came in from the wind and snow. Brrr... Dollymix will work for both light and dark, warm and cool skin tones.

I went to MAC looking for a pink, PINK blush and at the time all I had were bronzers and three blushes from ELF. After using MAC's blush I realized the value of a good blush. No fallout from the powder, rich color in less strokes, quality of packaging and quality of how dense the product is when packed. I now have a need to find that same great quality in a drugstore brand, because my husband is going to be upset if I keep paying these prices! Guys just don't understand the purpose in paying a little more for a better product unless your talking craftsman...

Packaging:5/6, Value:7/9, Formulae:22/24
Overall: 84%

I hear every other week that someone new is reading my blog or is reposting my blog links and I thank you so much. I feel encouraged when I hear that . Keep reading and subscribe to make me blush.

MAC ~ Palace Pedegreed

Palace Pedegreed ($36.00 U.S. / $43.00 CDN)

Prized
Frosty light dirty pink (S) (L.E.)
Palace Pedigreed Deep berry with pink pearl (S) (L.E.)

Quite Spoiled mauve w/ soft pink pearl (S) (L.E.)
Russian Blue dark blue base grey (M) (L.E.)

This quad is so pretty in and out of the package. All are limited edition colors and all have their own special quality. They are easy to swatch and play well with each other . Purples are well known to bring out the green in people's eyes. These do it effortlessly.

Courtly
is a beautiful light dirty pink. Great coverage with a frosty finish to it. Although it has a frost to it, it is a satin finish.

Palace Pedegreed is a pretty plumy color with a light pink pearl. It is such a deep color that you can pack it on easily so be careful when applying if you are trying to achieve that berry purple color. Palace Pedegreed is a satin finish.

Quite Spoiled really does go on like a satin as it's finish denotes. Limited edition this color is a must have. A nice pale purple with a soft pink pearl helps it fade into Palace Pedegreed.

Russian Blue is a very unique matte grey color. It is almost navy in color but more on the blackened side. This color compliments the Palace pedegreed when put underneath for a darker more edgy look.

Superslick Liquid Eye Liner ($17.50 U.S. / $21.00 CDN)

Smoky Heir purple w/ a silvery blue pearl (left)

This superslick liquid eyeliner is amazing! takes a few for it to dry but worth the wait. Once in dries is doesn't budge. No mirror image stamp on your of your eyelid any more!

MAC Marine Life Blush

MAC's Marine Life Blush for it's Tot the Beach Collection
Cute green outer packaging with a clear window. This showed it's pretty seahorse design with a slightly dusted gold over lay to emphasize the picture. Ubber pigmented! I mean UBBER PIGMENTED! Ha ha. Use the bright coral color very sparingly. It is a little hard since it makes up the majority of the blush. The bright coral color has a gold sparkle throughout the color so don't work when after the first use the gold overlay goes bye bye. The Pink color is very pigmented as well with a silver sparkle all the way through it, helping to tone down the brightness of the coral.
First Blush I purchased from MAC and I am LOVING it! Unfortunately for everyone that didn't get it the first day it came out, won't get it. This item sold out about three hours after it launched. I pre-ordered luckily!

Cover Girl Out Last Lipstains

Cover Girl has come out with Outlast Lipstains. During my trip to CVS I was perusing the makeup area and saw these on sale. Buy one get one free! At $8.99 I was a little hesitant to buy but since it was buy one get one free I had to.
I purchased #410 Bit of Blossom and #430 Coy Coral. Bit of blossom is a warm blue based pink similar to MAC's Stylesetter Lipstain Marker. Coy Coral is a slightly orangeish bright cherry red similar to MAC's Tomorrow's Coral Lipstain Marker. Their application is delivered in the style of a felt tip marker, easy to line around the lips and and fill in, just like coloring! These fruity smelling and tasting Lipstains go on wet and dry in about a minute leaving your lips the smallest amount of sticky, kind of like you just finished off a lollipop, but this goes away eventually with wear.

If you let these dry on your lips about 5 minutes before using them this color will stay for about 6-8 hours depending on your lip usage. ;-) I put on the Coy Coral last night, wore it for a couple hours and then tried to wash off with my daily cleanser. I woke up with a slight red tint to my lips this morning! So the color last is pretty good. I would recommend if your lips are damaged do not use this as the stain will adhere to the chapped parts of your lips more then the healthier parts and give you a splotchy mess.

The color goes on flat and can be built up with a couple swipes. You can put some gloss over the top to make these colors shine but this will cause the color to last only a couple hours. Same with using it as a base for a punch of color underneath your lipstick. Even though these are very bold colors they do not need concealer or foundation around your lips to contain the bleeding.

I am going to give Cover Girl Out Last Lipstain ★★★ 1/2

NYC Cosmetics

My local CVS has NYC Cosmetics on sale right now. Buy one get one 50% off so I took advantage of the discount, even though these products are so inexpensive you really don't need a discount on them to buy a handful without breaking the bank.

The product that perked my interest was the Ultra Last LipWear #405 Blue Rose. A hot pink, blue base color. NYC Ultra Last LipWear #405 Blue Rose is a beautiful violet/ fuchsia color with great pigment. Goes on smooth and is fairly durable. Wearable even through a cup of Joe for about 3 hours before reapplication is needed. Along with great wear ability the price is right on this item at only a $1.99 as opposed to MAC's lipsticks at $14. It amazingly kept my lips moisterized throughout the entire wear.

I have been looking for an inexpensive way to match MAC's Show Orchid lipstick. Blue Rose is close but MAC Show Orchid is more pinky while NYC Blue Rose is more violet. As someone told me once " You get what you pay for." So the color stay payoff and pigment are defiantly not the same as MAC but with your Beauty on a budget it is a great comprimise!

After the easy decision to purchase the Lipstick I had a difficult time choseing another item. I finally chose, In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in #240B Midtown. Sticking with the same color scheme it is a bright blue based hot pink for $1.99. After the discount $1.00

In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in #240B Midtown
This goes on great in one coat. It is a hot pink with a blueish frost to it. It dries enough in two minutes for you to be able to go about using your hands gently. I would still let them dry for about 30 minutes to an hour before you start doing the dishes or handling anything where your nails come in contact with it. It took about three hours for the color to be completly set. With a top coat let dry for 30-45 minuntes. A top coat will definatly benifit this color as it will help show off the true beauty of this color.

The lipstick gets ★★★★
The Nail Polish gets ★★★ 1/2 A New York color Minute is long!
