MAC ~ Dollymix Blush

MAC Blush ~ Dollymix
$18.50 net wt. 0.21 oz

Dollymix finish is a sheertone shimmer. MAC calls the color a pure candy pink. I would agree. Dollymix is a sheer buildable blue based pink. The packaging is MAC's standard black case with a clear top. I find the clear top helpful when trying to find a color and not having to open up every case is a sure plus! Dolly mix has a slight shimmer to it that makes it reflect light just enough to make you skin look like it is glowing. You can build it up to have super pink cheeks like you just came in from the wind and snow. Brrr... Dollymix will work for both light and dark, warm and cool skin tones.

I went to MAC looking for a pink, PINK blush and at the time all I had were bronzers and three blushes from ELF. After using MAC's blush I realized the value of a good blush. No fallout from the powder, rich color in less strokes, quality of packaging and quality of how dense the product is when packed. I now have a need to find that same great quality in a drugstore brand, because my husband is going to be upset if I keep paying these prices! Guys just don't understand the purpose in paying a little more for a better product unless your talking craftsman...

Packaging:5/6, Value:7/9, Formulae:22/24

I hear every other week that someone new is reading my blog or is reposting my blog links and I thank you so much. I feel encouraged when I hear that . Keep reading and subscribe to make me blush.

MAC Marine Life Blush

MAC's Marine Life Blush for it's Tot the Beach Collection
Cute green outer packaging with a clear window. This showed it's pretty seahorse design with a slightly dusted gold over lay to emphasize the picture. Ubber pigmented! I mean UBBER PIGMENTED! Ha ha. Use the bright coral color very sparingly. It is a little hard since it makes up the majority of the blush. The bright coral color has a gold sparkle throughout the color so don't work when after the first use the gold overlay goes bye bye. The Pink color is very pigmented as well with a silver sparkle all the way through it, helping to tone down the brightness of the coral.
First Blush I purchased from MAC and I am LOVING it! Unfortunately for everyone that didn't get it the first day it came out, won't get it. This item sold out about three hours after it launched. I pre-ordered luckily!

MAC Haul To The Beach

I am so excited to do a review on my newly purchased MAC products. I do not own many MAC products but as I slowly purchase them I am finding out why a lot of people rave about MAC, why some people feel MAC is more of a professional studio line, and why some just don't like them. I haven't found a person that doesn't like MAC as a whole but just items in their line, cause lets face it no line can make everyone happy with every product.

So on to the haul pictures.

Picture includes MAC To The Beach Collection ( Partial) and a Pro Quad I purchased for the Lovely Alison on her B-day.
I hope I get this right. I Purchased the empty Quad and filled it with:
Vanilla, Romp, Hand Written, and Bronze.

My long awaited modest To The Beach Collection includes:
Marine Life (Sold out) LE, Seahorse blush: Bright coral, with a pinky golden sheen.

Cream Bronzer in Beach Bronze LE: Not much color payoff with this one but gives an ever so subtle Tanned glowing sparkle to your skin. The best thing about this is that it goes on as a cream and quickly turns into a powder. Way cool.

Thrills lipstick LE: It is a frosty copper tone with reddish undertones. Very warm color. Smell isn't bad either.

Eyeshadows:
Sweet & Punchy(Sold out)LE: Bright Green with a more of a yellow base.
Firecracker LE: Frosty orangish melon color.

Come back for swatches and looks created with these items.

To the Beach

So I was able to pre-order some of the MAC to the beach collection and WOW good thing I did. The Marine Life Highlight blush sold out online within 24 hours. And most stores sold out of it with pre sales. So I was lucky enough to get a Marine life and I must say it is one of the best purchases I have made. It is so beautiful on. with a slight shine and coraly pink sheen to it... To die for!
I was also about to purchase Thrills Lipstick and Eyeshadows in Sweet and Punchy and firecracker, which the sweet and punchy is sold out as well. Firecracker was a last minute buy but great purchase indeed. The beach bronzer isn't what I was hoping for, the pigment payoff isn't what I expected of a MAC product but it does give a great shimmer to my cheeks.
Marine Life, Thrills, Sweet and Punchy, and Firecracker have all been great purchases. Must haves if you are able to get them now since some sold out after 24 hours , but I am sure they will be available on Ebay or you can win one of them from Temptalia I will have pictures of looks I created with some of the new items up by Tuesday and reviews on all of them next week.
Thanks for reading
Love you all
