New MAC

NEW MAC!!! YAY, so in trouble when the husband finds out, but Shhh, I won't tell if you don't! I am slowly building up my MAC collection (and Macy's card!) When I heard department store MAC counters started carrying pigments I had to take a peek, and buy one..., and a shadow to go with it..., and that blush brush I'd been eying...

MAC Greensmoke
Tarnished Olive
(lustre)
.05 oz $14.50
It looks pewter in the picture, IRL it is a deep smokey green with a slight shimmer to it. Texture is very smooth, and pigment is a little on the lighter side. It isn't as pigmented as I hoped but with a couple layers and blending I got the smokey green effect I was desiring.

Old Gold Pigment
High frosted tarnished gold
(Frost)
.15 oz $19.50
The flash from the camera captures it's coppery gold side that screams glam, what you don't see is the tarnished green tint on it's flip side. Such a beautiful color that says I'm super glam but I've been here a while.

MAC 129 Brush (top)
$34.00
Click for review. MAC 239 Brush (bottom)
Ouph! Hefty price for a fluffy blush brush. It took a lot of convincing and arm twisting to bring myself to buy it. I'm pretty convincing! It has a fluffy medium size, round, dome, tip. It's a very workable blush brush for all colors and shades. I really love it's ability to bronze the high plains of my face just right. The bristles are soft and packed tightly so it has good substance to it. No regrets, eagerly welcomed into my collection.

MAC Haul To The Beach

I am so excited to do a review on my newly purchased MAC products. I do not own many MAC products but as I slowly purchase them I am finding out why a lot of people rave about MAC, why some people feel MAC is more of a professional studio line, and why some just don't like them. I haven't found a person that doesn't like MAC as a whole but just items in their line, cause lets face it no line can make everyone happy with every product.

So on to the haul pictures.

Picture includes MAC To The Beach Collection ( Partial) and a Pro Quad I purchased for the Lovely Alison on her B-day.
I hope I get this right. I Purchased the empty Quad and filled it with:
Vanilla, Romp, Hand Written, and Bronze.

My long awaited modest To The Beach Collection includes:
Marine Life (Sold out) LE, Seahorse blush: Bright coral, with a pinky golden sheen.

Cream Bronzer in Beach Bronze LE: Not much color payoff with this one but gives an ever so subtle Tanned glowing sparkle to your skin. The best thing about this is that it goes on as a cream and quickly turns into a powder. Way cool.

Thrills lipstick LE: It is a frosty copper tone with reddish undertones. Very warm color. Smell isn't bad either.

Eyeshadows:
Sweet & Punchy(Sold out)LE: Bright Green with a more of a yellow base.
Firecracker LE: Frosty orangish melon color.

Come back for swatches and looks created with these items.

To the Beach

So I was able to pre-order some of the MAC to the beach collection and WOW good thing I did. The Marine Life Highlight blush sold out online within 24 hours. And most stores sold out of it with pre sales. So I was lucky enough to get a Marine life and I must say it is one of the best purchases I have made. It is so beautiful on. with a slight shine and coraly pink sheen to it... To die for!
I was also about to purchase Thrills Lipstick and Eyeshadows in Sweet and Punchy and firecracker, which the sweet and punchy is sold out as well. Firecracker was a last minute buy but great purchase indeed. The beach bronzer isn't what I was hoping for, the pigment payoff isn't what I expected of a MAC product but it does give a great shimmer to my cheeks.
Marine Life, Thrills, Sweet and Punchy, and Firecracker have all been great purchases. Must haves if you are able to get them now since some sold out after 24 hours , but I am sure they will be available on Ebay or you can win one of them from Temptalia I will have pictures of looks I created with some of the new items up by Tuesday and reviews on all of them next week.

MAC Haul

Okay this week I made my second and third purchase from MAC. My first time was False lashes for my wedding when I had no clue the fun of makeup. So on to what I got!

Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Light Medium
Pink Opal Pigment
Studio Moisture Tint in Light

MAC 239 Brush
Chromagraphic Pencil Crayon NC/15

I went to the Pro store at South Coast Plaza... OMG am I in trouble! Not only was the lady that helped me super nice and helpful, it's a "Pro" store. Meaning so many more color options then just the islands in the department stores and regular MAC stores. They also carry all of the pigments which from the little bit I used of the pink opal last night they are *sings* Amazing!

I hope to get a look together to photog and do a real review on my experience with them.

Thanks for reading.
