MAC ~ Leopard Luxe

Leopard Luxe ($36.00 U.S. / $43.00 CDN)

Wild By Nature Midtone camel (M) (L.E.)
Notoriety Dirty brown with gold pearl (V) (L.E.)

Style Predator Frosted midtone yellow orange (V.P.) (L.E.)
Furiously Fabulous Frosted warm black (V.P.) (Limited Edition)

I was on the fence with this quad. I bought it because I figured that they are all limited edition colors and I don't think I have seen them before. I am happy I bought it. All of the colors are unique in their own right.

Wild By Nature is an odd color. It's almost the color of spicy brown mustard in a solid matte finish I am still trying to get this color to work into a look as it is a little dark to use as a highlighter color for my skin tone.

Notoriety makes me think of, if Brown Down and Mythology had a child. The gold flecks throughout is very light but reflects well in the light. Notoriety is a velvet finish.

Style Predator is a frosty dark peach color that reflects yellow. Super shimmery, and worked well as a very thin layer for a highlighter on my brow. Style Predator is a Veluxe Pearl. I get the pearl but still have no clue what "Veluxe" means.

Furiously Fabulous is a smooth warm black brown. Dark brown when thinly applied or a rich deep dark brown when layered. It is a veluxe pearl finish which gives it that not so matte yet not too frosty appearance.

Superslick Liquid Eye Liner ($17.50 U.S. / $21.00 CDN)
Marked for Beauty Midtone grey with soft pearl

I really like this formula. It goes on smooth and dries fairly quick. The felt tip applicator works great for me and the long handle helps with accuracy. It has so much dimension to it. With it's medium grey base and tons of pearl shimmer to it, depending on what you pair with it will determine the final look.

Pigment ($19.50 U.S. / $23.50 CDN)
Lithe Frosted warm nude with gold pearl (F) (L.E.)
Old Gold High-frosted tarnished gold (F) (P)

Lithe shimmery nude color. Almost doesn't show up on my skin cause it is so close to my skin tone. This color I can see going into my lotion as an all over body shimmer.

Old Gold I got before it came out in this collection. It is a dirty gold with a tarnished green shift to it. Very great color for the fall.

So that is it for the items I purchased from the Fabulous collection from MAC. Most of the items have not sold out, so if you like something go test it out at your MAC counter!

MAC ~ Burmese Beauty

Burmese Beauty ($36.00 U.S. / $43.00 CDN)

Prized Pale Peach (S) (L.E.)
Burmese Beauty Frosty brown green (L) (L.E.)

Skintone 2 Dirty gold (F) (L.E.)
Showstopper Rich black brown w/ slight gold sheen (M) (L.E.)

This Quad is very pretty in the palette, but in application and versatility of the colors I don't know if I would recommend the quad, except only to get the Burmese Beauty.

Prized was very hard to swatch, I had to swipe it many, many times to get the color to show. Might be because it is very close to my skin tone. Prized is a satin finish.

Burmese is the color that prompted me t
o get this palette. I haven't seen anything like it, and it doesn't take much to layer it. I must say after applying it the brown base showed easily but the green was hardly visible. I layered it a bit more and the green came out but was still hard to see, but in the right lighting it glowed! Burmese is a lustre finish.

Skin Tone 2 was easy to swatch, so it was easy to layer and apply. The color has a brown base to the gold making it look like someone had their grubby little hands all over it at one point. Skin Tone 2 is a frost.

Showstopper is a dark brown black with a slight golden sheen to it. Probably one of the more versatile and usable colors. If you missed this pallet and must have this color I hear that this is the billionth time Showstopper has been promoted in a collection. It will come around again. Showstopper is a matte finish.

Lipstick ($14.50 U.S. / $17.50 CDN)
To Pamper
Peachy taupe (L) (L.E.)
Liquid Lurex Tarnished Gold base w/ Pearl micro glitter (D) (L.E.)

To Pamper goes on smooth, the texture reminds me of velvet. Kind of stick but not too sticky kind of slick but not too slick. The color gives my lips an almost nude lip look, just a touch cooler.

Liquid Lurex doesn't show well in pictures since it it made up of micro glitter. All glitter! I changed my mind on this item and purchased it after I tested it out at the MAC counter. I now really understand why you need to see things IRL to know it's true beauty. Since Liquid Lurex is made up of glitter there is quite a bit of fallout after a short time of wear, but it stays mainly on your lips for quite a while.

Pigment ($19.50 U.S. / $23.50 CDN)

Antique Green Forest green with green pearl (F) (L.E.)

Antique Green is a forest green that has a green based pearl to it. It has a frosty gold to it but not out of control. It was easy to layer, and was pretty dark with only one swipe.

Thanks for reading hope this was helpful.

New MAC

NEW MAC!!! YAY, so in trouble when the husband finds out, but Shhh, I won't tell if you don't! I am slowly building up my MAC collection (and Macy's card!) When I heard department store MAC counters started carrying pigments I had to take a peek, and buy one..., and a shadow to go with it..., and that blush brush I'd been eying...

MAC Greensmoke
Tarnished Olive
(lustre)
.05 oz $14.50
It looks pewter in the picture, IRL it is a deep smokey green with a slight shimmer to it. Texture is very smooth, and pigment is a little on the lighter side. It isn't as pigmented as I hoped but with a couple layers and blending I got the smokey green effect I was desiring.

Old Gold Pigment
High frosted tarnished gold
(Frost)
.15 oz $19.50
The flash from the camera captures it's coppery gold side that screams glam, what you don't see is the tarnished green tint on it's flip side. Such a beautiful color that says I'm super glam but I've been here a while.

MAC 129 Brush (top)
$34.00
Click for review. MAC 239 Brush (bottom)
Ouph! Hefty price for a fluffy blush brush. It took a lot of convincing and arm twisting to bring myself to buy it. I'm pretty convincing! It has a fluffy medium size, round, dome, tip. It's a very workable blush brush for all colors and shades. I really love it's ability to bronze the high plains of my face just right. The bristles are soft and packed tightly so it has good substance to it. No regrets, eagerly welcomed into my collection.
